Hello, my name is Summer Malpass-Weaver. I am an inspiring special effect makeup artist studying for my BA in specialised hair and makeup with an emphasis on prosthetics and application.

I enjoy the whole aspect of producing special effects, from design, moulding, and colourisation to applying the final appliance.

As well as doing my BA, I have also studied Hairdressing. It was while studying my hairdressing level 3 I was asked to produce a hair piece for a recreation of a body for the training of the Hereford and Worcester fire service. This is where my interest in SFX peaked and encouraged me to do my Level 3 in Hair and media makeup at college. This has led to me taking my studies further and into more detail.

The University College of Birmingham has also picked me to join the competition team, which I have had the pleasure of attending a competition at Professional Beauty UK.
